| When good bloggers go bad |
If you've come here looking for a detailed account of the renowned Nerd Fest 4, you've come to the wrong place.
You see, I have this little problem... it's a combination of intitial alcohol consumption - enough to effect my judgement - with further drinking in a fairly automatic/unconscious way, which leads to tactless statements, loud talking, bad dancing/singing and large periods of complete memory loss. Hence, I can't remember most of NF4.
It actually upsets me to no end! I know it was a fun-filled evening with good company and lots of witty banter/amusing anecdotes, and I know I was physically present, but I feel like I missed out on it all! Fact of the matter is, there's photographic evidence that I was taking part in the frivolity, I just can't recall the details.
Things I Do Remember:
- The chicken kebabs were awesome, I think I could live on those for the rest of my life
- I scored a bag full of free clothing! I wont have to shop again for a year. (That doesn't mean I wont... ;) )
- When you're a compulsive eater like me, it's easier to bring a table full of dip to you, than to keep getting up to go to the dip. (P.S. my life IS changed)
- Talking about the circle of life, and that animals were born to be eaten is not a good idea when sitting between two vegetarians.
- I wasn't lying when I said the m&m pie was all about being pretty, not tasty!
- Koalas from Perth have quite impressive pectoral muscles! It's true, people! And it would appear they're ashamed of them.
- Cuddling up with Deb and her BF on the couch was possibly the most comforting enjoyable part of my evening!
- We were planning NF5 before NF4 had barely begun! As far as I know, it was based around the idea of consuming even more alcohol. Hmmm, we might be re-thinking that one.
So... NF4.5, anyone? |

I tend to agree you with on a dry NF soon. i think I might be over drinking for a little while so a sober one would be nice. Maybe we should go to the Mexican place that everyone was talking about, I am all over Mexican food.
I'm so pleased you like the clothes, it makes me feel so much happier to give them away to someone who wants them and not just give them to Vinnie's (mostly because I get the immediate satisfaction of seeing someone glad to have them). I'm poor now so I haven't bought any clothes for ages but when I start working again I'm sure I'll have more stuff I'll never wear :)

Koala's from Perth? Perth doesn't have koalas! Or wombats for that matter. But I know what you're talking about, through my wanders around the internet, making that comment a bit less confusing.
You guys all sound like you had such a fantastic time. Well, your body did at least, even if your mind was elsewhere.

Wait a sec!
Getting out ninja'd by me was LESS enjoyable than cuddling with Deb?
But, but, but...

Off-topic, Jac, but did you know that you can't get to your blog from your profile? Maybe you should get a name for it again :)

oh, what the... looks like blogger ate my comment while trying to sign in... blast.
Anyway, I had some comment about not remembering and debauching my hazy days of youth, but mostly glad y'all had a great time :)

Thanks to everyone for ensuring I made it home intact (braincells not withstanding)
